Mother's Day is approaching. A perfect opportunit

Mother's Day is approaching. A perfect opportunity to have a root around in the old card box that stores all the notes and cards we have exchanged over the years on this day & others.

Here's my favourites.

The first my mum sent to her mum, my grandma, in 1960! How bloody delightful. I asked my mum and she reckons that yes, their house was filled with all these animals. Hoping the frog took residence in the garden. Some strong pet names here and I love the gentle reminder to my grandma that Easter is coming.

The second a note I wrote my mum (& I'm hoping this wasn't the main card for the day) with an epic rhyme involving hamsters and pampers. What is not to love here.

Do any of you keep old cards and letters? It's always hard to know what to keep but it's so lovely to look back through these from time to time.

If you have any littler gems, given or received, we would love to see them!

If you plan on spoiling a special female in your life this mothers day we are available for personalised rhymes at a very reasonable rate.

Otherwise, we have a luxury breakfast in bed box, delivered locally on the Sunday morning or a mothers day brownie box special ~ both loitering around over on our website.

Today, it was plugged back in, turned back on and brought back to life. Welcome back little buddy.

There's nothing better than making that first espresso of the day ~ I'll never get bored of that sound and the smell of freshly ground beans filling our space on Mill Street.

Well, well, well, we have a reopening date written in pencil in our diary~ something to plan for, something to aim for, a lovely little goal & blimey that feels good.

It might be a few weeks off yet but it’ll be here soon enough and before you know it our walls will be filled with love and laughter once more. It’s hard to put into words the happiness that brings us.

Valentines isn't really my bag. Just putting it out there. For me, it should be something we celebrate all year round - loving people we are lucky enough to have in our lives.

This year, I'll give it to you, I'm a little more on board. The whole world has been a little more fragile lately and more than ever, all that really matters is holding the people that we love a little more closely and a little more tightly.

So I'm a little more on board, maybe like 45%. Or 40%. I'll tell you what I do love though. Leaving little tokens of joy and love on doorsteps, reading your messages of appreciation and kindness you send each other and being able to have my coffee shop doors ajar while they can't open fully. We're delivering this Sunday morning our Love Always Wins brownie boxes & our lazin' and a grazin' sharing box.
