Americano Vs Long Black

You won't find an Americano on our menu but you will find a Long Black; we get asked on the daily what's the difference.

▪️ An Americano is made by pouring espresso in first then topping up with hot water.

▪️ A Long Black is made by pouring in slightly less hot water first then adding the espresso.

By pouring the espresso over hot water, you retain that beautiful, rich crema on the top.

I never get bored of making a simple, beautiful Long Black; it is such a joy 💛

The Chai Latte - A proper winter warmer, originally from India, a combination of black tea and spices 🫖

Are you missing yours? Have a go at making one at home.

You can choose between buying a powder base from most local supermarkets - blend and add steamed milk, making your own from scratch with spices, black tea and milk on the hob or using a chai tea bag as a base.

Here's a perfect, in our book, chai recipe using one of our Tea and The Gang Chai pyramids.

🫖1 x Mrs Agra Tea and the Gang teabag
💦100ml of boiling hot water
🥛200ml of your milk of choice
🏺Cinnamon powder
🍯Honey

Brew your tea bag in the boiling water for at least 5 minutes.
Heat and whisk your milk and add your honey, Honey.
Pour your milk over your tea and sprinkle with a little bit of cinnamon.

That should see us through January right?

We have dusted off our red postie van, our delivery assistant Jess is prepped and raring to go and so from next week we are offering a coffee delivery service every Monday & Wednesday to doorsteps within a 1.5 mile radius of our store at 46 Mill Street.

You can pre order your treats and time slot over on our website (link in bio) - perfect for treating someone who can't get out at the moment or just for a little pick me up to brighten up the beginning of the week.

If you fancy something else from our online store, add it to your coffee order and we will deliver it at the same time.

If you don't have a re-useable cup yet, I give you three guesses where you can get one...

Our ecoffee cups come in some right old jazzy designs and are made with natural fibre, corn starch and resin; they're BPA, BPS and phthalate-free. You can pop them in the dishwasher & the sleeve stops you from getting your paws scorchio.
